Art & French Students Get A Taste Of Paris

Art and French students collaborated on the first cross-curricular trip to Paris, exploring art, culture and language. Visiting historic landmarks of the capital including the Palace of Versailles, (UNESCO World Heritage Site), Versailles Gardens and Petit Trianon.
During this two-day trip students visited the Musée d’Orsay and look at the largest collection of Impressionist and post-impressionism masterpieces in the world, from 1848 – 1914. They also visited the Garden des Tuileries, Eiffel Tower, travelled on the Petit Train in the Gardens of Versailles and took a refreshing river boat cruise down the river Seine and even found time to go shopping in Galeries Lafayette.
French student, Karina Taran said: “This trip was great! I really practiced my French and I saw a lot of beautiful things.”
Art student Alexandra Timpani, said: “The experience taught me that Paris is a city that never sleeps, it’s an impressive, creative and passionate place. For prospective students this is the most inspiring and overwhelming experience, one I simply didn’t want to leave and I recommend it to all students.”
Both the Art and French teachers agreed that the trip had been Inspiring and enjoyable. It is no exaggeration to say that things like this make teaching a real joy. We are looking forward to another trip next year already.
