Ethics Matters

On Thursday 5th February 2015 our A Level Religious Studies students attended ‘Ethics Matters’, a conference at Bloomsbury Baptist Church.
Dr Peter Vardy began with a talk on the relationship between ethics and belief in God, and this was followed by a session on how various ethical theories might be applied to the issues surrounding Genetic Engineering.
The day concluded with a lively debate on whether Euthanasia should be legalised in the UK. Students were given a set of notes covering the day’s talks, as well as a copy of Peter and Charlotte Vardy’s new GCE Ethics textbook.
