DLD College London A-Level Results 2018

Despite the A-level exam reform and the increase in unconditional offers at universities, DLD College students are celebrating excellent results, once again exceeding the national average. Staff and students can be proud of the results with 30% gaining the top grades of A*- A, compared with the national average of 26% and with a 97% pass rate and almost 60% achieving A*to B grades, the College has a lot to celebrate not only at A-level, but at BTEC and the International Foundation Programmes (IFP). DLD is proud of its high performing and diligent students who are reaping the benefits of their hard work and the excellent teaching, pastoral care and support they receive from their teachers.

The College continues to place students at many of the top universities in the country. We are proud of all our students’ results and the progress they have made during their time with us, which exceeds the national average. There were many outstanding results across a range of students from a large number of students including:

Betty Liang Peng achieved A* in Fine Art and Physics and A in Maths, Chemistry and the EPQ and will be going to The Bartlett at UCL to read Architecture

Arsen Sarkisov achieved A in Biology, History, Chemistry and B in the EPQ and will be going to LSE or Exeter to read History.

Sahasheat Tov achieved A* in Mathematics and A in Biology and Chemistry and is going to Brighton and Sussex Medical School to read Medicine

Emily Ferraro achieved A in Media Studies, Psychology, Classical Civilisation and is going to University of Kent to read Classical Studies

Adyan Sharda achieved A in Government and Politics, A in History and the EPQ and B in Religious Studies and is going to King’s College London to read History

Lingyi Chen achieved A* in Mathematics and Further Mathematics and B in Business Studies and Economics and is going to Durham University to read Accounting and Finance

Maiden Lim achieved A* in Accounting, A in Mathematics and B in Economics and is off to Queen Mary, University of London to read Accounting and Management

Ekaterina Bobina achieved A* in Fine Art and Photography and A in Graphic Communication and is off to Goldsmiths University of London to read Fine Art

Alberto Terzic achieved A in Mathematics, Government & Politics, History and in the EPQ and is going to Loughborough University to study Physics

Mengna Wang achieved A in Accounting, Mathematics, Chinese and a C in Economics and is going to UCL to study Management Science

Jiakai Yuan achieved A* in Mathematics and Economics and B in Chinese and is going to King’s College London to read Economics

Geoffrey Wang achieved A in Mathematics, B in English Literature, A in Economics and A in EPQ. Geoffrey will now be relocating to Australia

Nguyen Loc achieved 86% in the IFP Economics and Business and is going to King’s College London to read Business Management

Vladimir Kolev achieved 83% in the IFP Economics and Business and is going to University of Bath to read Economics

Gina Wojciechowska achieved 77% in the IFP Economics and Business and is going to SOAS University of London to study Management

Dandan Zhang achieved 86% in the IFP Economics and Maths and is going to University of Nottingham to study Mathematics or Economics, or Queen Mary University of London to study Mathematics, Statistics and Financial Economics

I would like to pay tribute to the excellent staff at DLD College London who go that extra mile to support the students through their A Levels, BTEC and IFP courses and in particular to Moira Matthews, our Head of UCAS who has worked tirelessly to help the students gain those coveted university places. As we celebrate with these students, we remember that these results, together with the wide range of experiences and opportunities offered by at College along with the pastoral care they have received during their time at College has helped prepare each and every student for the next stage in their journey of lifelong learning. We wish each and every one of them every success in the future and look forward to hearing about their successes through the DLD Alumni network.
