A Trip to the Palace

Arian A, last year’s Head of School, attended Buckingham Palace on Monday to celebrate achieving his Gold Duke of Edinburgh (DofE) Award. He was invited to meet the Duke of Edinburgh himself and was delighted to be 1 of just 4 others who were personally introduced to him, out of the 6000 in attendance.
Arian is a perfect example of how the DofE Award can pull a lot of strands of self-development beyond the classroom and put them into an internationally recognised certificate that tells universities and employers just how hard working, adaptable, resilient, team focused and reliable the young person holding it, is.
