New Student Council Announced

We are proud to announce the newly appointed Student Council for the academic year. This dynamic team of student leaders will play a vital role in shaping the student experience, representing the voices of their peers, and driving positive change across the college community.

Leading the council are our new Heads of School, Rehaan and Shawna, who bring a strong sense of responsibility, ambition, and school spirit to their roles. They will represent the student body at key events and work closely with staff to ensure student views are heard and respected.

Reflecting on their appointments, Rehaan said “I am extremely honoured to have been appointed as one of the Heads of School at DLD College London. My motivation is to inspire every student in our community to take risks, seize opportunities, and always strive to do their best. I want to help create an opportunity driven environment where we design opportunities that are catered to each student’s goals and aspirations, helping them move one step closer to achieving their definition of success. I am also very excited to work closely with my whole team in order to deliver for every student’s day to day lives at school and to keep improving the college’s overall reputation”.

Shawna added, “Being appointed as Head of School is an incredible privilege and a role I’m genuinely excited to take on. I’ve always believed in leading by example, uplifting others, listening openly, and creating spaces where everyone feels valued. I’m especially passionate about helping students from all backgrounds feel seen and supported. Through this role, I hope to inspire positive and meaningful change and leave behind a legacy of compassionate, purposeful and unifying leadership“.

The Charity and Events TeamBevelyn, Dumitru, Sofiia, and Kiana – will be responsible for organising fundraising initiatives and community events that bring students together while supporting important causes. Their creativity and commitment to service are sure to shine throughout the year.

The Academic Team, made up of Emely, Gordon, and Sina, will act as a bridge between students and academic staff, providing feedback and promoting a supportive learning environment for all.

Supporting student welfare, the Wellbeing Team includes Max, Shina, and Sofia, who will focus on initiatives that promote mental health, personal development, and peer support throughout the college.

Championing student voice on equality, the Inclusion and Diversity TeamAlfie, Amy, and Lea – will work on fostering an inclusive school culture that celebrates difference and encourages dialogue and understanding across the college.

Finally, our Sustainability Team, led by Lev and Sofiya, will focus on driving environmental awareness and action, inspiring students and staff to make more sustainable choices in everyday life.
