We are proud to celebrate the outstanding achievements of our Mathematics students who took part in the Intermediate Maths Challenge (IMC) 2026, earning an impressive collection of Gold, Silver, and Bronze certificates.
The challenge, organised annually by the UK Mathematics Trust, is designed to stretch the problem‑solving abilities of students across the country. This year’s competition proved particularly challenging, yet DLD students rose to the occasion with determination, creativity, and strong analytical skills.
A number of students achieved Gold certificates, placing them among the top performers nationally. Many others earned Silver and Bronze awards, reflecting consistent mathematical talent across the cohort and a deep commitment to academic excellence.
The IMC not only rewards high‑level problem‑solving but also inspires students to explore mathematics beyond the curriculum. Awardees will now have the opportunity to build on their success through further enrichment activities, including follow‑on rounds such as the Pink Kangaroo or Junior Olympiad, depending on their results.
Congratulations to all our participants for representing DLD with such excellence. Their achievements embody our commitment to fostering academic ambition and encouraging students to challenge themselves.
