Christalla Mavroudis

Christalla joined DLD College in October 2011 as an Academic
English and GCSE French teacher.

She has over 30 years’ experience of teaching and managing in UK education sectors, including Further Education, Higher Education and Independent provision. She also taught abroad for a number of years and qualified as an IELTS examiner in 2011. Throughout her career, she has been responsible for preparing international students for all the Cambridge suite exams, ranging from the KET (Key English Test) to the IELTS (International English Language Testing System), which is the English language qualification required for entry to University.

Christalla was appointed Head of Academic English in 2018, introducing and being responsible for a number of initiatives, an example of which is the IELTS exam centre status granted to DLD College by the British Council in March 2018. For the past two years, international students have taken their non UKVI IELTS exam here, on home ground, which has had a positive impact on results.
