Welcome to DLD College London

Firstly, on behalf of the college community can I extend a very warm welcome from everyone here at DLD College London. We are delighted that you will be joining us and are very much looking forward to welcoming you to the college.

All new students are required to attend to complete their enrolment and induction to the college in advance of the start of term on Monday 11th September 2017.

Enrolment Day

As part of your enrolment you will be expected to fulfil some administrative tasks at the college. This will include getting you registered to the College and checking through your documents. This will take some time so it will help if you are prepared with the correct items.

The dates and times for the enrolment are as follows:


Thursday 31st August:

Surnames A-M

9:00 am – 1:00 pm

Friday 1st September:

Surnames N-Z

9:00 am – 1:00 pm


Monday 4th September: A-level & IFP Students 9:00 am – 1:00 pm

Tuesday 5th September: GCSE/ Pre-Sessional /BTEC Students 9:00 am – 1:00 pm

Boarding students should arrive with their luggage on the designated days and times. The first day will involve the welcome to the college and settling into your new home.

Please ensure you have brought the following documents for enrolment:


• Passport with vignette (visa sticker in your passport) plus photocopy of passport cover, photo page, vignette page, and any other stamps for entry to the UK
BRP (Biometric Residence Permit) or BRP letter plus photocopy of front and back of BRP
• Police Registration Certificate (original document plus photocopy if available)
• Two passport sized photographs for police registration (if required)
• Offer letter or Enrolment confirmation letter
• Exam certificates IELTS certificate and school transcripts/reports (original documents plus photocopies)
• Completed Medical Consent Form (if this has not been provided in advance)

The induction is different from enrolment. Induction allows all the students to bond with other students and understand more about the college answering important questions such as, who is my Director of Studies or Personal Tutor? What are the college rules? What are my targets for the year ahead? Which Extra-Curricular Activities could I be involved in?


Starts at 9:00 am on Wednesday 6th September in the college atrium
Wednesday 6th September:

9:00 am – 4:00 pm

Personal Tutor & Director of Studies day.

Thursday 7th September:

9:00 am – 4:00 pm

Wellbeing day.

Friday 8th September:

9:00 am – 4:00 pm

First Class lectures day, followed by barbeque.


There will be a range of activities for boarders over the course of the weekend from Friday evening onwards, aimed at creating bonds with other boarders and to enable them to settle into the DLD way of life as soon as possible. Parents please ensure that you can allow the new boarders this time to bond and settle. Please do not arrange alternative arrangements for the new boarders over this weekend. The existing boarders will return by 8pm on Sunday 10th September.


The college opens for lessons on Monday 11th September, when all existing and new students will be given their new timetables and there will be a chance to select their extracurricular activities for the term ahead.

Monday 11th September 9.00am – Whole College assembly followed by extracurricular activities fair, UCAS talks and Personal Tutor time. Lessons begin in the afternoon once timetables have been issued.



You can find a map of the College and the local area here. The nearest stations are Westminster Underground Station (5 – 10 minute walk) and Waterloo Rail and Underground Station (5 – 10 minute walk).

If you are travelling from outside of the UK please provide us with your travel plans and we can help you to arrange your travel to College. We expect all students to be accompanied from the airport by a parent, relative or guardian, or to be collected by a College approved transfer service.
