Welcome to DLD College London

The new student induction programme includes a two day induction for boarders, an enrolment day for day students, an academic induction, and the First Class programme of taster sessions and lectures.
All new students are required to attend to complete their enrolment in the college and to prepare for the start of term on Monday 12th September 2016.

Enrolment Day

All new students must attend the enrolment day to complete their enrolment at DLD College. Students must bring with them the following documents:


BRP or BRP collection letter (if applicable)

Exam results – GCSE / A Level / IELTS

Original reports used to obtain your visa (if applicable)

Completed Medical Consent Form

Please note that it is essential that all documents are submitted on the enrolment day, if any of these documents are missing it will not be possible for enrolment to take place and the student will be asked to return home to retrieve the missing documents. ID cards and timetables will only be issued once enrolment is completed.
While we endeavour to complete enrolment as quickly as possible there may be long waiting times.

Academic Induction

The academic induction takes place on Thursday 8th and Friday 9th September. All new students are required to attend the induction days where they will take part in a full schedule:

A welcome from the Principal and senior staff

An introduction to tutors and pastoral staff

First Class programme with lectures and taster classes

An introduction to the DLD Enrichment programme



The Boarding House opens on Monday 5th September, new students are encouraged to attend the full two day programme to enable them to settle into the boarding house before the day students arrive for enrolment. Boarders will receive assistance with important student administration including;

Opening a bank account

Registering with the Police (if applicable)

Collecting their BRP (if applicable)

Registering with the local doctor & College Nurse

From this point passports (and BRPs where applicable) will be collected and stored by the College for the duration of the student’s stay and will only be returned for travel reasons and with necessary authorisations.
Boarders will be introduced to the Boarding team and will take part in a range of trips and social activities to welcome them to the DLD Boarding Community.
It is important that all boarders take part in the induction schedule, parents and guardians may bring their child to the college and may visit the boarding house during the allotted time after lunch. All new boarders are expected to take meals together and to spend every evening in the boarding house.

Returning Students

Returning students progressing onto the second year of their course should attend the re-enrolment session from 9am on Monday 12th September. Student must bring:


BRP or BRP collection letter (if applicable)

Police Registration Form for renewal (if applicable)

Lessons begin at 1pm on Monday 12th September following the returning student re-enrolment session.


Getting Here

You can find a map of the College and the local area here. The nearest stations are Westminster Underground Station (5 – 10 minute walk) and Waterloo Rail and Underground Station (5 – 10 minute walk).
If you are travelling from outside of the UK please provide us with your travel plans and we can help you to arrange your travel to College. We expect all students to be accompanied from the airport by a parent, relative or guardian, or to be collected by a College approved transfer service.
