Springboard4Asia’s UK Education Fair

From January 27th-February 5th DLD College in conjunction with Abbey College London, toured Cambodia, while participating in Springboard4Asia's UK Education Fair which was held at the National Institute for Education in Phnom Penh.

Escorted by DLD's Head of Geography, Mrs. Courtney Love-Weeden, Charlotte Neve, Ali Yellop and Clemens Tiedeken were involved in an international debate competition which saw our students debating issues surrounding climate change with Cambodian under-graduate university students.

Joined by delegates from four other UK based universities (Sheffield Hallam, Leeds, Regent's College and The University of West England Bristol) AbbeyDLD were invited to a special reception hosted by Her Majesty's Ambassador to the Kingdom of Cambodia, Mr. Mark Gooding.

The week was rounded out by a live on-air radio interview on FM Radio 102 to a listening audience of 3 million Cambodians, and a tour of the temples of Siem Reap and Angkor Wat.

DLD is honoured to have been involved in this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and thanks all the organizers and delegates whom made this week unforgettable.
